9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Thoroughbred Room of Lexington Expo Center
Yes, there's a party going on in Lexington - right before
BreyerFest 2017 - Gateway to India.
The purpose of the party is for the hobby to "get back to
its roots" - to provide a way for us to spend time with
friends, learn from each other, and reminisce about hobby
history.
Our headline event is Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig's "A Good
Vintage" model horse show. Dust off those vintage customized
models and bring them with you! Click the link above to
download the A Good Vintage show information. You can also
find AGV on Facebook and
read the AGV
Blog.
NAMHSA will host FREE hobbyist demos all day from 10:00 am
to 3:00 pm. These informal round-tables will feature a
variety of hobby specialists who will answer questions about
their field. We will have tables for artists and collectors,
performance showing, tack makers, etc. - in short, something
for every hobbyist.
Do you have something YOU want to share with the
hobby? Whether
you have hobby history, a technique to demonstrate, or want
to lead a short discussion, please contact NAMHSA's Sarah
Townsend.
In addition, we are collecting photos from the history of
the hobby, which will be displayed all day long on The Big
Screen. If you have photos you want to contribute, contact
NAMHSA Region 2 representative Heather
Visser.
Light snacks will be available during the afternoon.
Silent auction open from 12 - 3 pm
A cash bar will be available from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
All events are open to the hobby.
