Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron Collection

In 2002 Breyer introduced a series of models and collectibles based on DreamWorks' newly released animated feature "Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron."  The film tells the story of Spirit, a Mustang who refuses to be tamed, Esperanza, Spirit's mother, Little Creek, the Lakota Indian who helps him, and Rain, the Paint mare Spirit falls in love with. The collectibles in this line range from Traditional series Spirit and Rain models to Stablemate-sized porcelain and pewter figurines as well as mugs and treasure boxes. The models have a somewhat "cartoonish" look to them in keeping with the animated nature of the film and have been used a relatively small number of times since the movie's release.

Breyer has released new models as a tie-in to Dreamworks' new animated Netflix series, "Spirit Riding Free."
