Bolya

|
Bolya, right side | Bolya, left side | Halla, left side |
The Bolya mold had no mold stamp at all when it was first released in 1992, but later that year the linear " Breyer Reeves" stamp was added. This was originally the Halla mold. In 1992 Breyer gave that mold a forelock and unbraided mane, a "beefed up" neck, a tapered tail, and additional musculature to the chest and girth. Bolya is an Akhal-Teke mare whose name means "Freedom" in Russian. The Halla mold was sculpted by Chris Hess, and the Bolya was adapted from that mold by Breyer employee Megan Thilman Quigley. It is Breyer mold #490.
A symbol means that I don't yet have a picture of that model. If you can help, please see the Help Wanted section. Clicking on any photo below will open a larger version of that picture.
