Kelso

The Kelso mold is a portrait model of the famous Thoroughbred racehorse of the same name, first appearing in Breyer's Race Horse series in 1975 along with Man O' War, Silky Sullivan, Swaps, and Terrang. All of these racehorse molds were originally sculpted by Maureen Love for Hagen-Renaker as Kelso. Some of the earliest Kelso models have no mold marks, but the rest have the round "Breyer Molding Co." stamp and some may also having the "B" stamp. Kelso is Breyer mold #601.
